It’s funny how people who are awake (confident, secure in themselves, etc.) don’t need labels; it’s those individuals who are nervous, scared, worried, insecure, etc. seem to be the ones who desperately need some sort of definition to cling to. A good litmus test for me (i.e., when I feel myself ‘demanding’ answers, that should be a clue that perhaps I need to start looking inside, first).
Feb 27, 2013 @ 12:49:05
yes….
Feb 26, 2013 @ 11:19:30
*fist pump*
Yes!
Feb 26, 2013 @ 11:21:10
Ugh! I just got labeled Anonymous! Forget to fill in the blanks, I guess.
Feb 28, 2013 @ 10:24:38
Anonymous or named, I appreciate the enthusiastic response! (And I agree.)

Ah yes, nosy personal questions, or jumping to conclusions. We all suffer from it. And probably do it unknowingly too. But for me, personal values should always be paramount. We wish our neighbours Shabbat shalom, not because we are jewish but because we wish them a peaceful/happy shabbat. A little respect goes a long way.

This is PERFECT and I just love Joss’ take on it. Be AWAKE, Be Alive!

Yes it says it all and it is perfect!
Feb 24, 2013 @ 17:46:53
I love this!
Feb 24, 2013 @ 20:41:04
It’s excellent, isn’t it?
Feb 24, 2013 @ 15:18:25
I love this! It takes away the “us against them” mentality which – it seems to me – is the only thing driving that need to label and define. Thanks, Joss!
Feb 24, 2013 @ 20:42:38
If you want to know me, don’t ask if I am a this or a that. Ask me how my heart feels when I watch the eagle soar above the field! Now that’s a great question, isn’t it?
Feb 24, 2013 @ 14:42:39
*zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-snork-gwibble-urk* Eh, wassat?
Oh. Well, I’m a chunk of the universe too, but I was asleep til you woke me up!
Seriously, it is really a very good way of looking at it.
Feb 24, 2013 @ 20:40:40
heh heh. Glad to hear you are awake!
Feb 24, 2013 @ 08:39:10
A loud “yes” from me, too! I hate attempts to label or package people into neat boxes. I guess it’s a comfort thing for those who are afraid of where large-scale questioning and exploration will take them.
Feb 24, 2013 @ 20:38:10
I wonder too if it isn’t reflecting a need to feel that we know someone. So if someone says “Joss is a …..” whatever, they now think they know how I think, how I feel and how I live. Good luck with that, says Joss!

This is so true we are all a piece of the Universe. Such a shame so many think we are all seperate. When what we are is all One. And we all affect each other.
Peace– Sue

My heart expands into the knowing that so many of us, who are here at this time, know, truly know that we are One!
Feb 23, 2013 @ 22:45:04
I love it! It’s funny … G. and I just talked about this a little while ago, because I don’t like to be labelled either.
Feb 24, 2013 @ 20:40:07
it’s just too easy to label and then to file away who the other person is. It’s like when people ask you where you’re from, as if that will tell them everything about you. My hubby’s response is always “I am from earth”. heh heh.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 22:20:48
Not to flame or anything, but
I LOVE THIS.
I feel like it’s a self-discovery.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 22:22:06
It’s how I felt. read it and responded with a loud YES and it’s how I’m going to answer the next time someone asks me “are you…………?” I shall smile and respond “I am awake!”
Feb 23, 2013 @ 22:03:58
This is perfect.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 22:22:25
that’s just what I thought when I read it today.
