in the smile of a stranger,
in the song of a bird close by,
in the hug of a friend,
in the strength of your heart.

May you see joy each day
in the rising of the sun,
in the eyes of someone learning something new,
in a child splashing through a puddle,
in the goodness of an old friend.

May you know peace each day
in trusting that all will be well,
in the rain beating softly on your window,
in knowing you are just where you should be,
in the depth of your soul.

May you feel love each day
in the warmth of a lover’s body at your side,
in the hard clasp of a friend’s hand,
in the welcome of your home,
in your heart for the beloved.

May you know rest each day
in the confidence of knowing who you are,
in a shoulder to lean on,
in the comfort of your bed,
in the knowledge of being loved exactly as you are.

May you have faith each day
that everything is unfolding exactly as it should,
that love will win the day
that forgiveness encompasses us all.
